why can't Singaporeans follow instructions and stand on the left side of the MRT escalators?

is this a cultural thingy?

is it a must for boyfriends and girlfriends to stand right beside each other to enjoy each precious moment?

I don't know..

maybe all precious moments seems to be on an escalator ride..

all I know is..

darn..

I am missing the train again.
